Don’t know much about this famous series? Here are some quick facts about “Danger Girl”:

  • The comic stars a group of female secret agents who were created in the likeness of “Bond Girls”.
  • The name “Danger Girl” does not refer to a single person, but a group of female secret agents who are headed by Adventurer Abbey Chase (below).
  • The female agents in this series are led by a former British secret service agent named Deuce.
  • Abbey Chase is described as a, “Champion marksman, virtuoso of languages, scholar of world history, and (most widely) a heart-stopping femme fatale”.

Royle asked by The Royal Mail to illustrate Olympic stamp



John Royle has created a stamp for the 2012 London Olympics. Royle said he was “excited and honored to be asked to illustrate a stamp for the London Olympic Games by the Royal Mail.”  The Royal Mail is the government-owned postal service of the United Kingdom.

Rugby World Cup 2011



 

 

 

 

You’ve all been waiting for it, and tomorrow The Rugby World Cup of 2011 finally begins! John Royle captures some of the stars for FHM’s October issue. The Cup will last until October 23rd and take place in several New Zealand cities including Auckland, Wellington, Nelson, Napier and New Plymouth. Teams from all around the world will be competing representing their countries, doing whatever it takes to lead their team to victory. May the best team win!

Spectacular Spider-Man



John Royle recently did the artwork for Panini/Marvel’s Spectacular Spider-Man (Issue 224), featured in the picture above.  In this issue, Spiderman fights for his life against villain Jack ‘O’ Lantern!  Be on the lookout for Royle’s work in this comic, which will be out soon.
